Hello, I'm Isabel!
I started out with a great love of anything performing and inventing, plus I loved taking pictures of family and friends. Inventing got me lots of scholarships to college which lead me to the University of Illinois to pursue a technical degree. I went on to grad school and was offered numerous corporate jobs, but there was something missing.
My truest love is serving God, and the corporate jobs just didn't give me enough time off to be able to really serve how I feel I've been called to. My photography work had many admirers at this point, and so I decided to start a photography business. I definitely work more hours now as a business owner, but there is a slow season, which allows me to take time off and serve the Lord exactly how I've been called to do. I also have the pleasure of using my work to help families in their darkest hour, raise money for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
So, now, when the slow season hits and so many photographers are feeling dead with no work, I'm overseas using those technical degrees to build homes or set up networks in poverty stricken areas. I LOVE IT! And the Lord has blessed my business. My clients love their images and are ever so faithful to me as I am to them. It's simply wonderful.
If you told me that this is how my life would turn out ten years ago, I wouldn't have believed you for a second. Now that I'm here, I wouldn't trade it for the world!
May the Lord immensely bless you also,
Isa
